Space is limited; please sign up early. =20 Proclaiming the Word A Training for Ministers of the Word =20 In this interactive workshop, ministers of the Word learn two new ways = of=20 prayerfully, consciously and effectively proclaiming the Scriptures = during Liturgy.=20 =20 Participants learn about two ancient traditions of mining the depths of = Scriptures: Midrash, a Jewish tradition, and Lectio Divina, a Christian = tradition. Through these two traditions the minister of the Word will = discover the stories within the Scripture, as well as the stories evoked = within themselves and they will learn to bring the power of these = stories to their proclamation of the Word. In this active workshop = participants are given the opportunity to be inspired by the Word, to = practice their skills, and to share their stories. =20 Dr. Andre B. Heuer has presented workshops throughout the country on = spirituality and storytelling. His doctoral work focused on spirituality = and the role of narrative in theological reflection.
