I've been communicating with Caryn. She's joining HSA, coming to the Healing
through Story Conference and wanted to tell us about this conference.
Hopefully we will have some storytellers participating.

SPOKEN, WRITTEN AND SUNG WORD
A conference at Goddard College, Aug. 6-9, 2005, Plainfield, VT.

Explore how we can use our words - written, spoken or sung - to make
community, deepen healing, witness one another, wake ourselves up, and
foster empowerment and transformation. Sponsored by Goddard College's
Transformative Language Arts degree program, this conference features
experiential workshops on a wide range of the expressive language arts,
panels on right livelihood and certification and training options,
performances and celebrations, an open mic, and time to write, walk in
the woods, and seek greater freedom for ourselves and our communities
through the power of words. Conference costs: $175 early bird special by
June 1/$200 afterwards. Room and board available at the college for an
additional, and quite reasonable, fee. A number of partial scholarships
are available, including scholarships for people of color through the
Florence Roxanne Fund.

Transformative Language Arts (TLA), part of Goddard College's
individualized MA program, is a 48-hour MA degree focused on social and
personal transformation through the spoken and written word. Goddard
