hi,
thanks andy. i wanted to share that after reviewing the videos, i fell into a
deep depression. and in retrospect, i'm not sure the videos were a good idea,
at least at this time. i read the news article about the 9/11 debriefing with
interest, and again, wondered what good is it to process things so fast/or at
all and that perhaps memory with a good friend is the best way to process
things, rather than with a professional right after the incident.
i'm wondering if reality is just too intense for us. so freaky to see your
life moment by moment. and stories are an absolute necessity to buffer reality
from us. like why we see so many news events turned around quickly into the
movie of the week. story is necessary, and memory is especially limited to
protect humanity. i always think about the movie Memento, how he creates his own
world based on his decision of how he remembers things (or not). so memory and
story protects us where as reality is overwhelming.
any thoughts? or am i just rambling!
