I'm part of a committee planning a national conference for February 2005 = and we want input about what would make it a truly valuable conference. = We designed a short survey with 3 questions, and I'd be grateful if you = responded. Please reply just to me and not to the whole list, so the = list isn't overwhelmed. Thanks so much! Joan Stockbridge=20 =20 HSA, supported by NSN and other partners, is planning a 3-day story, = health, and healing conference for February '05. This conference will be = inter-disciplinary, bringing together professionals who work in a = variety of fields: including health, mental health, social services, = storytelling, and spirituality/ministry. A planning committee has been = working for several months to come up with a preliminary conference = design, and now we want your honest input. We'll consider your comments = seriously, along with the input from Storytell, the Interfaith = Storytelling listserv, members of the Center for Spirituality and = Healing, and others. Thanks for giving us your suggestions, ideas, and = comments! =20 =20 Storytelling, Health and Healing Conference This conference will be an opportunity for those that use storytelling = in health and healing to come together to learn skills and models for = story work and to be inspired to use storytelling and story listening in = their work in the areas of medicine, mental health, social service, = bereavement, social action, or ministry. =20 Would you consider attending this conference? Why or why not? =20 =20 =20 The conference will have 4 tracks: 1. Medical 2. Mental Health/Social = Services 3. Bereavement/Grief 4. Storytelling and Healing. We will put out a Request For Proposals for half-day = presenters in each track.
