Focus: helping people understand all the elements that go into a personal style and give participants the opportunity to explore new territory in a safe environment. Also, deal with development of an artistic process and learning to trust your inner artist. We will cover common pit falls and issues such as privacy, truth vs. fact, emotional control and story development. Finally, Elizabeth will offer some discussion on Facing Our Fears to the extent it will enlarge the experience of dealing with fear as the great "shape shifter". This aspect of the intensive helps us identify all the ways fear appears in our lives and all the ways it blocks us from doing our highest and best work. It gives us a safe environment for looking at our fears and working on what the payoffs are that we get from them. Who: Elizabeth Ellis is an incredibly gifted teller & co-author of Inviting the Wolf In. By her own account she is best known for helping tellers work on their own story, their personal stories. I have worked with Elizabeth Ellis & that profound artistic experience has turned around both my professional & personal lives. Her bio is short & sweet: "This is my silver anniversary year, having been a professional teller for 25 years. I grew up in Kentucky and Tennessee. Most of my childhood friends were imaginary. I tell stories of my personal experiences, folk tales and stories of Heroic American Women. I am a recipient of the John Henry Faulk Award, a devoted supporter of the First Amendment, and a Circle of Excellence recipient. I tell at conferences and festivals throughout the US, but helping others become better tellers is still what I love to do best. " Fee: $250.00 - covers 2 1/2 day intensive weekend, two dinners, two lunches, breakfast munchies, snax, water, coffee & tea, and no charge for the TP or towels. And if you have ever been to a Beach Bungalow event, you know the eating is plentiful, organic, gourmet & great. How: Our policy is to follow the Mailbox Rule - First Received First Reserved.
