Subject: Kindness (Quotes for the week)

Recently I have been struck by how frequently the guidance of some of
the wisest human beings revolves around simply being kind. So - from
my quote file:

It is a bit embarrassing to have been concerned with the human
problem all one's life and find at the end that one has no more to
offer by way of advice than "try to be a little kinder." -Aldous
Huxley, novelist
(1894-1963)

A friend is one to whom one may pour out all the contents of one's
heart, chaff and grain together, knowing that the gentlest of hands
will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath
of kindness blow the rest away. Arabian Proverb

May you all have a week of kindness, for yourself as well as for others.
