I'd just like everyone to know that there will a healing story weekend = in Sacramento on February 1 and 2. Laura Simms is coming out from New = York to do a performance Friday night, followed by a conversation on how = she used healing stories in New York after September 11. Allison Cox is = coming down from Washington to do a workshop on Saturday, February 2. = Allison, as many of you know, is a storyteller as well as a health = promotion specialist for Tacoma County Health Department. Allison will = tell some stories, then give examples of how she has used healing story = in community health settings. In the afternoon, a panel will discuss use = of healing story in a wide variety of settings. Participants will also = have the opportunity to try out telling a healing story.
