From the Dramatherapy listserv:

Following is information about becoming a workshop facilitator for
Artistcares (website artistcares.com) who are looking to put together (paid)
teams of therapists of various modalities, with storytellers and artists,
actors, musicians, dancers, actors, poets.... They will be going out into the
community to do 6 session arts and healing workshops. It is an organization
that has come out of Sept 11th and looks to do some worthwhile work.

ArtistCares will present two Artist Preparation Workshops. They will be held
on February 9 and March 1. These are day-long workshops running from 9:30
a.m. - 5 p.m. (Both workshops cover the same material.) The workshop on
Saturday, Feb. 9, will be held in Manhattan at Skadden Arps, #4 Times Square,
38th Fl. (Broadway and 42nd St.) The Friday workshop (March 1) will be held
at the Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning, 161-04 Jamaica Ave., Jamaica NY
11432. Take the E train to the last stop, Parsons Blvd. Turn right when you
come up to the street, walk half a block to Jamaica Ave. Turn right and walk
2 blocks to 161-04.
Please RSVP to art@artistcares.org to reserve a spot. (You must RSVP in
order to attend a workshop.) Workshops are limited to 30 participants; an
early RSVP will assure you of a spot. Anyone interested in working as a
facilitator for ArtistCares Creative Healing Workshops must attend an Artist
Preparation Workshop. These workshops will cover 4 main areas: creating
'norms' within Creative Healing Workshops; managing group dynamics (including
several learning paradigms); facilitation strategies; and creating the bridge
between healing and the creative process within the Creative Healing
Workshops. Please contact Karen Fitzgerald, Project Director at 718 658-7400
x 43 for more information. We look forward to working with you.
