This third issue of Diving in the Moon is "gently meant." The many thoughtful submissions we received from the storytelling community led us to choose the theme of "Connecting With Community" for our 2002 journal.

Our hope is that you will find inspiration, comfort fierce protection and healing in the story and thoughts of these and other generous storytellers.

Our theme and focus for this issue is "Trust the Power of Story." All of the articles offered here speak to the gift that the power of story can be, both to teller and to listener.

We have introduced a feature titled Notes from the Field, where we will highlight short articles that clearly describe some of the exciting work storytellers are engaged in across the country and beyond.

Facilitating Healing
Issue 1 Summer 2000

This first issue of our journal has a bibliography of resources and two articles. Allison Cox has written "A Journey Down the Healing Path Through Story," an article that traces her discovery and use of story as a health professional. Dan Yashinsky's "Talking Him In," is a powerful heartfelt account of the power of story as it grows through the teller.
